Broken Wrist

Well on tues november 3rd, i fractured my right wrist playing indoor soccer. i dont really remember why or how i fell i just know it snapped as i was trying to hold myself up. it seriously popped and cracked like 4 times.. it was SO loud. A couple girls on the field said they heard it crack. Tyler wasnt at my game so a guy on my team had to drive me to the ER. it was about a 20 min drive. Tyler met us there. of course it had to be my right wrist- since im right handed and all... it totally sucks. ive never had a broken bone or anything before so it was really scary to me. i've already missed 2 days of work... being a dental assistant i use my hands ssssssoooooooooooooooooo much.. i doubt i will be going back anytime soon. (im typing ALL OF THIS with my left hand) it sucks cuz its right before the holidays.. and i was planning on a lot of home made christmas gifts this year. i cant do anything, tyler had to put my hair in a ponytail today. on thursday my sis-in-law washed my hair and styled it for me.. Im in a full arm cast that goes all the way to my shoulder. MISERABLE! pain is okay when i take a pain pill but i really dont like the way they make me feel so i just have to lay around. i just hate that i cant do anything! even brushing my teeth is hard! and i cant floss! i feel so gross when i cant floss. Tyler already is doing so much for me... i definitely wont ask him to floss my teeth. lol! Im really worried about not working and having enough money. we had just decided that we were gonna start finishing our basement. Another thing that Im freaking out about is that we are leaving to MAUI on Dec 19 with Tylers family. The doctor said i need my cast for 4-6 weeks.. which looks like Dec 16 would hopefully be the day i get it off. but if i need to have surgery then it would be 6-8 weeks. they might have to put a pin in it.  i really hope i wont need surgery. I find out on thurs if i do. i really hope and pray i wont ! things like that really scare me!! i have been icing it and keeping it elevated all the time. Casts are sooooo itchy!  I really feel like im bugging Tyler, hopefully hes not gettting too annoyed. hes takin such good care of me. making me icepacks, cooking, cleaning. He even ponytailed my hair!! Im so madly in love with him. MADLY! :) 

Doesn't look too good, huh? The nurse called my wrist an "obvious deformity" i thought that was kinda funny. At least they let me choose what color cast. I got purple ! :)
